The alarm clock tore us out of our sleeping bags and we start our trip to Rio Apurimac. A Bus took us over a scary gravel road to the put in bridge. We packed all our gear and supplies for the following days into our kayaks and started our way downstream. We enjoyed the numerous rapids, sunshine and the beautiful scenery. In the late afternoon we reached our camp. As we started to cook we already could hear a storm coming up. As it got dark we were part of a little natural spectacle. Hundreds of glowflies seemed to react to the lightning. Shortly after this spectacle it began to rain. We only had a little tarp and a bivy bag.
